Experienced Domain Architect with a strong engineering background and a passion for cloud-native systems, scalable microservices and practical, secure architecture. Self-taught from early days (QBasic) and formally trained with an IT degree (NMMU). Comfortable across the full SDLC — from design and pre-sales to deployment, CI/CD pipelines and running production systems. I enjoy mentoring teams and translating complex technical topics into business value.

AI & ML experience: Led AI Readiness initiatives at Backbase — developed an AI Maturity Model, built tooling and dashboards for measurement and quality gates, and created an AI Agent framework to assist SMEs across the SDLC. Hands-on experience with local LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent frameworks and AI automation, and I run workshops to help teams adopt practical, governed AI workflows.
